Flower Festival

Floral exhibits will be themed around a wide variety of written and spoken words taken from the Bible, hymn books, British novelists, poets, renowned orators and even recipe writers.

Prize winning floral designers including Chelsea Flower Show medallists and international competitors will join representatives of local Flower Clubs and Churches to produce over forty contemporary and traditional designs.

Voci Chamber choir directed by Sue Piggott will perform an eclectic mix of sacred and modern classical music as part of the Flower Festival tomorrow evening.

The music will reflect the floral themes with songs commemorating Magna Carta, the reign of Her Majesty the Queen, the First World War, the lives of John and Charles Wesley, Rudyard Kipling, Lewis Carroll and other authors.

The concert will take place on Saturday 26 September at 8pm Tickets are available from the Voci Box Office: 01344 425219 or fromwww.vocichamberchoir.com or on the door on the night, price £10 (full-time students £5, under 12’s free).

Delicious home cooked refreshments will be available each day.

Entrance is free but donations towards both the Thames Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support will be gratefully appreciated.
